Viola R. (Carserino) Zambrello, 93, formerly of West Hartford, died Monday, February 27, 2012 at Village of East Farms in Waterbury. She was widow of Morris "Mark" Zambrello. Viola was born in New York City, the daughter of John and Carmella (Vasalo) Carserino. She grew up in Waterbury and attended local schools. She and Mark moved to West Hartford shortly after marrying in 1942. Viola was a wonderful wife and mother, devoted to her family. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her two children, Francis M. Zambrello and Janis M. Zambrello. She leaves her daughter-in-law, Janis Zambrello of Bedford, NH, three grandchildren, Kathryn Zambrello, Kimberly Schuerhoff and her husband Jason, and Carolyn Zambrello; and her great-grandchild, Braylon Schuerhoff. She also leaves her brother Edmond Carserino and her two sisters, Rosemund Rompre and Mary Albino.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Avenue, West Hartford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, 1579 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury, CT 06762 or the American Cancer Society.
