Mary (Rustigian) Bagdigian, 93, of Farmington, loving wife of the late Charles Bagdigian, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Born in Lawrence, MA, Mary grew up in West Hartford. She graduated from Hall High School and worked at the Aetna for several years prior to her marriage in 1949. She and Charlie moved to Farmington in 1953 where she lived for over 60 years. Mary was a longtime active member of St. George Armenian Apostolic Church in Hartford where she served faithfully in many roles, most notably as a kindergarten Sunday School teacher. After Charlie retired, Mary worked as a bookkeeper at Our Growing Concern Florist for 10 years. She was a devoted mother and took care to ensure the well being of her family and her extended family. She spent most Saturday evenings with her extended family for dinner, laughter, and cards and enjoyed annual trips to Florida with her beloved couples group. Besides her husband, Mary was predeceased by her sister Anne Boornazian. She is survived by two children, Donna Woodard of Farmington and David Bagdigian of Bristol; her grandchildren, Matthew Woodard, and Daniel Woodard and his wife Sue; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves Essie Whyte, her devoted caregiver of the past two years. Mary's family is especially grateful for Essie's loving care and companionship.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. There are no calling hours.
