In 1969, Joseph moved to West Hartford where he attended Conard High School but spent his senior year at the newly completed Hall High School, graduating Class of 1971. He went on to attend Springfield Technical Institute before pursuing a 40 year career in automotive repair. Joseph was a master mechanic with certifications from Volkswagen and Volvo and most recently worked with the Gengras and Mitchell automotive groups. He was an avid fisherman, who especially enjoyed freshwater and surfcasting, and was a past president of the Simsbury Fish and Game Club. In addition to his mother Theresa, Joseph is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Corinne Sabaitis of Pasadena, CA, and James and Barbara Sabaitis of Spring Lake, NJ; and his nephews and niece, Travis, Jeffrey, Christopher, Charles, and Catharine.
