HEBB, Janice (McCone) of Bloomfield, formerly of West Hartford and Westerly, Rhode Island, died peacefully on April 25, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was surrounded by her family. Born on July 24, 1938, Janice was the daughter of the late Henry and Helen McCone of West Hartford and sister of the late Nancy McCone Morse. Janice grew up in West Hartford attending William Hall High School and graduated from Marjorie Webster College in Washington, D.C.

Janice was a member of the Junior League of Hartford where she gave many hours of volunteer time. She loved her bridge games, gardening and playing the piano. Janice was a huge Hartford Whalers and UConn Women's Basketball fan, and was an avid reader but her greatest love was her family, whom she nurtured and cared for with great passion. She had unconditional love for her husband, daughters and grandchildren and nothing made her happier than to surround herself with her family on the cabana beach or around the dining room table.

Janice leaves behind her devoted husband of 58 years, Edwin G. Hebb, Jr., who remained by her side every step of the way as she battled her disease. Janice will be greatly missed by her three daughters and seven grandchildren: Jennifer Daukas and her husband Nicholas of Glastonbury and Jennifer's children Molly and Sarah LaRose, Sarah Quirk and her husband John of Falmouth, Maine and their children Madeline, Meredith and Johnny and Ginger Lynn and her husband Robert of Glastonbury, and their children Garrett and Katherine. Alzheimer's disease stole a lot from Janice, but it never touch her kind spirit.

Her service will be on Monday, May 1, 11:00 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 1018 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Janice's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or http://www.alz.org.
