James A. McMillan of West Hartford, CT died on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Jim was born in Owego, New York, the son of the late Ralph E. and Helen (Wishinski) McMillan. Jim graduated from Central Connecticut State University and prior to retirement worked in the bond department of both the Aetna and Travelers Insurance Companies. Jim loved to fish and spent many happy evenings fishing the shores of Cape Cod. He was a member of the Rockville Fish and Game Club. He also loved the New York Mets. This was not always easy, but in '69 they were amazing and in '86 there was a miracle and that was pure joy for Jim.

Jim leaves his wife Nancy (Dunne) McMillan, and his two sons, Benjamin J. McMillan of New Britain and Christopher J. McMillan of West Hartford. He also leaves his brother, Ralph E. McMillan and his wife Grace of Freehold, NJ and many nieces and nephews.
