Henry H. Barton, II, 68, of West Hartford, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home. Born in Orange, NJ, the son of the late John C. and Irene (Holmes) Barton, Henry graduated from Conard High School, Class of 1966, and served honorably in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division. He was an Eagle Scout in his youth and a member of V.F.W., Hannon-Hatch Post 9929. Henry is survived by his two brothers David Barton (Beverly Jenkins) of East Hartford, and Ken Barton (Peg Simmons) of West Hartford; his sister Janet Osborne (Dr. Newton Osborne) of Boquete, Panama; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bordonaro (Matthew), Bret Barton, John Barton, David Osborne, and Jeffery Osborne; and his great niece and nephews, Mikayla, Lucas and Leo. He was predeceased by his niece and nephew, Kristen Osborne and Luke Barton.

Family and friends will be received from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will be private at a later date.
