Dorothy (Kennedy) Woodworth, 103, of Farmington, widow of Alden G. "Woody" Woodworth, died Monday, June 05, 2017 at Arden Courts. Born in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late George L. and Anna J. (Heraty) Kennedy, Dorothy graduated from Boston University, Class of 1935. She and Woody married in 1944 and were blessed with three children and 45 years together. Dorothy taught business education in Fairfield prior to marriage and taught an additional nearly 20 years at Conard High School in West Hartford once her children were all in school. She was a longtime communicant at Church of St. Patrick in Farmington and Church of St. Helena in West Hartford. Dorothy loved to play golf and travel with Woody, prior to his death in 1990. She leaves her three children, Robert Woodworth of New York, NY, Leslie Woodworth of Bloomfield, CT, and Richard Woodworth and his wife Judith (Dunn) of Clifton, VA, and their four daughters, Barbara Bartoe, Jennifer Chipman, Cynthia Stern, and Elizabeth Crosby; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Les Kennedy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arden Courts for their years of caring for Dorothy. Thank you, also, to the kind and caring staff and volunteers from McLean Home Care and Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main Street, Farmington. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLean Hospice, McLean Home Care, or a charity of the donor's choice.
