Dr. Dunn oversaw a great public high school. The education I received there provided me with an intellectual grounding that has served me well throughout my career as an academic. One of his greatest achievements, I think, was to give Bill Stanley, who also passed on this year, free rein to pursue his intense vision of a school, a community, a world alive with Music. I will be grateful to these two extraordinary educators throughout my life. I hope

I just learned of the death of Mr. Dunn. I speak of him as Mister Dunn because that's who he was when we first met at Hall when I was a student from 1957 to 1960. Bob's strong support and genuine caring for my best interests and those of all students was always clear. We stayed in touch a bit over the years and while I moved away from West Hartford after Hall, he would occasionally speak with my mother

My prayers and love to you at this difficult time. I am so inspired by your dedication to him always most noteably in these recent years. Dr. Dunn hired me as Hall head coach with little experience . He was my biggest fan! I pray that you find comfort in your treasured memories.❤

Dr Dunn was my high school principal. Everyone looked up to him.

When our parents died, each time he sent a lovely note to the Skoglund childen. He said that our parents were very proud of each of us. It was extremely thoughtful and considerate. I will never forget him.

God bless you. I am very sorry for your loss.

we are very saddened by the passing of a great human being. he was always there for our family. The first day I came to Hall football to be an assistant coach he came over and said welcome to Hall Malcolm. he left a legacy that will never be matched by anyone. he cared about his students. he was always there for my boys Mark & Scott. he wrote letters for both to different colleges. he was one in a million. rest in peace my good friend. will never forget you.

Dr. Dunn had an amazing capacity for nurturing, supporting and mentoring the students at Hall High. He didn't just say hello, how are you?. He opened the door to you and it remained open for a lifetime.
Bob Dunn was a unique educator and counselor who left his mark on so many of us as you can see in the many thoughtful comments in memory of him. My deep condolences to Gladys. You were also there for us any time we needed support. Thank you.

God's speed Bob, you left a huge shoe to fill for any Educator. I enjoy our talks and knowing your mother made so many connections worthwhile knowing you.
May you rest in peace and smile to the well done you deserve good and faithful patron of education!
