Dr. Dunn was interested in all aspects of our lives at Hall, and he always made a point to visit Hall athletes in the locker room after a game or competition to congratulate athletes on their wins or console us on our losses. His locker room visits were legendary. He made it a point to speak to each boy on a team, whether we were in victory or defeat. It's hard to remember the glorious days of Hall sports without remembering also Dr. Dunn's personal encouragement and attentive congratulations in the locker rooms.

I am sorry for your loss. I see the same message from people from all ages. Whether it was in the 1960's, 1970's or 1980's, the message is that Dr Dunn was caring, and interested in his students, and a good influence. I know that was true for me. Joe Adam Class of 1982

Dear Gladys,
I just learned of Bob's passing as we are away for the summer and unfortunately will miss his memorial service next month. Bob was the first person to welcome me to town in 1971 when I became managing editor of the West Hartford News with one of the many personal notes he sent over the years. Our paths crossed frequently in school, Rotary, church, Bicentennial and community circles as he was ever-present in the life and leadership of the

Of all my teachers and educators in grade school, Dr Dunn had the most influence on me. I see that hundreds and hundreds of others have had the same experience. What a wonderful life and legacy, and to be supported by Gladys and stand by her as well for decades... you will be missed. In admiration,

Bob was Principal of Hall High School when I came there for a year in 1963/64 as an Exchange Teacher from the UK. He was so welcoming and helpful and Kind, and I have remained friends with Bob and Gladys ever since.

Whenever I come over to the US (every 3 or 4 years), I always stay with them as well as with my cousins - the last time being September 2015, and they stayed with me or I visited

Dear Mrs. Dunn,
My sincere and heart felt condolences to you and your family, with the passing of your dear husband. Dr. Dunn was no doubt a very intelligent and gifted man but the thing that I most remember and cherish about him was his kindness, humility and sincere devotion to all Hall High students. He did whatever was in his power to make certain our academic ducation was the very best. The exceptional athletic, musical and artistic opportunities at

i would like to truly thank Dr. Dunn for taking an interest in my desire to become an educator. Although I went to Conard, I got to know him through many of my friends who were students at Hall. Dr. Dunn was able to inspire me to change my major and helped guide me through the process of becoming a teacher. I thank him once again, this time for creating the opportunity for me to teach in West Hartford. I
