Mr. Zars was undoubtedly the teacher most dedicated to his students success. I was not a bright and shining math student but Mr. Zars offered after school extra help sessions for me and any others who were lost in equations that did not equate, in math terms that defied understanding. Three years later he signed my yearbook saying "Math makes you mad and that makes me sad!!" He included a handwritten emoji of a very sad face! I remember his

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Zars.... he was such a nice guy ! I often ran into him at Geisslers and we would always stop and chat a bit and i would ask how Valerie was. He always had a smile and a positive thing to say. I will miss him ..... May God comfort you at this very sad time. Take Pride and Joy in knowing that he touched many lives and he meant SO much to SO many!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mr. Zars was an amazing teacher and person. He was always so kind and caring. He always made me feel like I was important.

Several months ago, he ran into my father (I think at the barber shop, maybe) and asked my father about my older brother and me. It's been 25+ years, and he still remembered us! What an enormous blessing it is to have known him and to have had him as a teacher.
