I had the honor of working with Sharon through her position at the Hartford Foundation. The Bridge has been fortunate to receive many grants from the Foundation. Sharon was our grant officer for many of these. She was kind, compassionate and a true champion of non profit organizations. Sharon understood our work and listened with an open heart to our stories. Above all, Sharon joined with us in telling our story. Heaven just gained an angel. Sharon will now be

Sharon was a quick study, had a true Irish wit and had the ability to see the value in funding important

One of the things I will always remember her is her laughing and making jokes. Sharon's absence is felt at the office, I still see her in my mind going from office to office and even though she was working she always found time to share a laugh, ask you how your are doing

We have all lost a truly beautiful person who gave us so much and added to our lives as a rare friend through good and difficult times. I am so ever grateful for her understanding, support, kindness and generosity, traits that she shared with so many others throughout her life.

We will miss your many acts of kindness, your friendship, and the way you cared about and nurtured all of us in the nonprofit world much more than yourself. We were shocked and saddened that this happened far too soon, but also hope that your spirit knows what a difference you made in our world.
